There are so many work at home opportunities online that aren't legitimate...finding something with the guiding principles of a true Christian home business system isn't easy. But there are a number of important features that can help you identify suitable plans. Here are four of them
4 Features of a Christian Work at Home Business
1. They Must Serve Others. Jesus left us this command in John 13, that as He did to us, we should do to others. He had just washed the disciples feet, the ultimate sign of service in His culture. If you find an opportunity which will serve your neighbor, the world will beat a path to your door. What I'm saying is that your home based business should enrich your neighbor while it enriches you.
2. They Must Have Actual Profit Potential. A work at home system that is simply built on a pyramid scheme is not Christian at all. If it's based upon gambling or exploiting others, it is not Christian. No matter how much mopney you make, if it is made at the expense of your fellow-man, it is not Christian. What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
3. They Must Be Honest. Any home based system that manipulates either those who participate in it or those who purchase its' products simply is not Christian. The advertising should be honest and ethical, not promising things that cannot be delivered. If work at home business opportunities are truly following the teaching of the Bible they will want to you to be honest. Honesty is still the best policy.
4. They Must Be Open About Their Faith. Sometimes this takes different forms. At times a business opportunity is explicitly Christian, by what they sell, or how they mentor. Sometimes the people who run them are Christian, even if the opportunity appears secular. But check the home business out thoroughly. Talk to the owner or designers of the plans. See if they offer any kind of testimony on their site anywhere
If looking for a joining a legitimate Christian work at home opportunity is important to you, do your legwork and check them out well. Remember, by their fruits ye shall know them.
The business I use opens with these words: "I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who through Him all things are possible."
