How Important Is Generating Traffic?

In the mystical world of Internet marketing and Internet business a whole lot of emphasis is placed on generating traffic.  But don't be mislead.  While a good flow of traffic to your site is necessary, it does not and will not guarantee success.  Why?  Becasue success is measured in dollars and sense.  Not visitors or clicks (unless they are clicking on you "Buy It Now" button).

If the answer to the search for success in online marketing isn't solely traffic, then what is necessary to ensure success in addition to having a steady flow of traffic coming to your site?

Let’s take a look at a couple of important ingredients to success.

1.)  The first ingredient is a quality website. While anyone can generate traffic to their site, the site has to be able to keep the visitors there.  A quality website encompasses four key ingredients.  To do this you need to have a well-designed site, loads of frequently updated or refreshed quality content, it must be easy to navigate and it must offers the visitors what they want.

Without these 4 facets your site will not retain the visitors’ attention and you will not get sales.

2.)  The next ingredient is your products and/or services. If you have a limited number of products/services your customers will soon tire of seeing the same old thing and go elsewhere for something new.  There are certain exceptions to this rule, but we will have to discuss them another time.

You must provide a variety of products/services to keep your customers coming back.   However, don’t make the mistake of trying to change things up too much or too often. In doing so you may inadvertently discontinue carrying and offering something that was popular.  Keep an eye on your sales to see what products are moving.  Then be sure to keep them.  The same is true for CPA offers.  You don't want to remove a high paying CPA offer that is making you money, just because you failed to track the performance of all the items on your site.

On the other hand, having too much to offer can be equally bad for business. Your customers will not want to spend hours sifting through scores of products or endless lists of services.  You must take the time to find a balance that will please your customers.

3.)  The last essential ingredient I would like to mention is customer service. Quality customer service is of the utmost importance, more so than product/service offerings.  No matter how good your offerings are, if your customers can not get answers to questions or satisfaction when they have a complaint they will not come back any time soon.   Then yo not only have the additional burden of a lost customer  T

Then you have the lost income from a repeat customer, and the added burden and expense of trying to find a new customer.  Treat them well, and they will return the favor.  Enrich others, and you cannot help but enrich yourself.

Here's to your monumental success!
