Seven Things To Avoid If You Want Your Spiritual Business To Prosper

If you are a healer, intuitive reader, coach, counselor or providing a service or selling a product that is spiritually inspired, this article is for you.

I am sure you have stepped into your spiritual business because of your love to serve and to help other people. You also enjoy the sense of freedom in your business compared to being employed in the corporate world. However, the love of your talent/trade and your passion to serve is not enough to get you the clients you want to serve. And often you realize this fact only a little too late because by then you are already struggling to keep your head above water financially.

Here are Seven Things To Avoid if you want your spiritual business to grow:

1. Presume that since you are talented in what you do, you will automatically attract clients to you. It does not work this way, never presume so. Many practitioners, including myself, have made the fatal mistake thinking that since they are open to their spiritual gifts to heal, then God and the Universe will send people who need their services to them.

You are on earth, on the ground, so you need to communicate to others on this plane of existence what you do and what you provide through marketing and advertising. Communication is the bloodline of your business, without it your business will not grow or even sustain itself.

2. Feel bad when people cannot afford your services and you give your services for free. This is one of the most common mistakes that spiritual people make. I have made this mistake many times in the past.

There is such as a thing as the Law Of Giving (one of the laws of the Universe), which states that there is a right way and wrong way of giving. If by giving something to someone which does not empower them you have done them more wrong than good. Most of the time when you give a free service to others, in your mind you think you are helping them, when in fact you are disempowering them. Most people only want quick fixes, they want you to get rid of their problems with little effort on their part. If they are not doing anything to help themselves other than waiting for a hand out, and you hand it to them you have broken the Law Of Circulation.

However, there are the rare cases where there are those who would put in their heart and soul to heal and do everything in their power to move out of their plight. But this is extremely rare. In my 12 years experience as a healer and intuitive reader, I have only met one such person who actually worked harder for himself than I did for him. Most other people were too addicted to being the victim that I worked harder for them than they did for themselves. I literally paid for these mistakes I made.

3. Provide a service to others that does not come from your experience but from hearsay and from books. There are too many fly by night practitioners who have become overnight practitioners through a weekend certification course and you are told that you can go out there and serve now. How much experience can you get from a weekend?

You do not need a vast amount of experience serving, but what you need is the experience of healing yourself through the modality you have learned over the weekend. By giving a service you have not personally experienced you are already in conflict and your potential clients will sense this.

4. Target your services to anybody and everybody. Because you do not know who to target your services to, you start telling every spiritual Tom, Dick and Harry about it, whether they are interested or not. This not only bores people but you can come across as desperate and as you know word spreads faster than any energy in the vines of spiritual circles!

You must know your unique abilities so that you can target the right people. This will automatically magnetize people to your services.

5. Try to convert unbelievers to believers. I have witnessed new age practitioners trying to convince people who are not spiritually ready or spiritually attuned to the same thinking to try out their spiritual services. Not only do you sound like you belong to the looney house to them talking about activations, ETs, angels, that Jesus is ascended master Sananda and so on, you also put yourself at risk of being committed to the psychiatric ward because you are deemed mentally incapable of taking care of yourself.

Whatever services you provide and whatever higher energies you work with, use your discernment to speak about it with people who are ready and who share the same views as you do. Trying to convert people to your beliefs whatever they may be is a big turn off and it does not help you to be of greater service. In fact, it creates separation. Being mentally mature is the key here.

6. Think that money is not important. If money is not important then why are you struggling financially? Money is energy and it is important for your business. You need the money energy to expand your work and be of greater service. Saying money is not important in business is like saying healing energy is not important in Reiki. All are energies just manifested in different forms and ways.

If there is no money in your business, there is no business. You can't help others if you can't help yourself. I've received emails from many people who tell me that they have served so many people but they don't have money. Then in truth they have not really served but used other people to serve themselves. Money is an indication of how much you have been of service and it also indicates your ability to expand your service work.

7. Thinking You Can Do It By Yourself. Yes of course you can do it by yourself, if you prefer the slow and long route. If you believe that your service work changes lives for the better, and you have a passion to serve others then the slow and long route is not the way to go.

There are many ways to get help to grow your business and be of greater service. Here are some of them:

Get part time help and let others handle the mundane aspect of the business such as your accounting books, emails, running errands. This gives you more time to focus on what you are good at.Join a master mind to brainstorm ideas to grow your business and to network.Get a coach to help you have a clearer picture of what you are doing right and not doing right in your business and get ideas on how to expand your work.Work with right people in the business as joint venture partners to expand your reach.Get emotional support from your family and friends when the going gets tough in your businessSo if you want to prosper in your spiritual business and be of greater service then do anything to avoid these seven self sabotaging factors. You will go a longer way and you will certainly be much happier to serve.
