Managing Daily Business Operations Through Strategic Business System

When you go through the process of creating strategic business system for your business, you want to make sure you include an end result example. I think that's one of the best ways to learn, is for the person to see how it should look at the end. So give your employees multiple examples. Document what it is that you do and maybe make bullet points. I usually like to make it in a text document and then I'll put it outside of the screen view so they can't see it. I'll record my video, I'll follow my bullet point document and then I'll have a video plus some notes. I'll put the two together and there's the first step in my system.

Then I try and get someone else later on who goes through these complete business system and cleans it up and paces the person who goes through.

I used to go, and if Steve Ovens was still here he'd say the same thing, I used to go through a lot of pain to create that step by step Word doc. Now I just create the video and ScreenFlow and part of the system that outsourcer does, is to create the Word doc with the screen grabs from the video and the check list that comes at the end of that. So the Word doc is the huge fifteen page system. The checklist is the thing that they follow every single time. Along those lines, Checklist Manifesto is a great book.

I just want to log in and show you a sample of strategic business system and we'll drill down a little bit deeper into Ezine. Having a look here, now I'm just going to go into our article distribution process. Let's do posting on Ezine because we actually broke it up into two components.

So this is posting to Ezine. Up the top we've got, 'Your first step after writing your article is to post it to a service called Ezine. Watch a video on how to post it.' So it's a fourteen minute video. 'There are some important things that you need to know. You need to know which article you're going to post, which website you're promoting. Log in to the Ezine article's account which is associated because we have lots of Ezine article accounts and which author you're going to submit under because we use lots of different aliases.'

'So here is a little bit of important information. This video will explain everything.' I'm a visual guy so I like to watch a video and that's the best way for me to learn. Some of my other assistants like to read. It's good to have both complement each other.

The step by step: 'Log into Ezine. Under the article manager, then you do submit an article, then you enter in the author, co-author, sub categories, all the areas to fill out. It comes down to resource box. Here's how to create a resource box.
