Who Is Giving Away An iPad2?

Anytime you search on the web for "Free iPad2" or iPad Giveaway", you'll get a boatload of hits to your query.  The problem is, 99% of them aren't giving anything away.  Have you ever tried to get one of them?

First they ask you to fill out a survey.  Nothing too personal, but just enough to "get you in".

Then they tell you that you just have to fill out a couple of low cost product trials.  A lot of times they're called "Silver Offers".  You figure, "What the heck?  I spend $12 on trials I might have wanted any way, plus get a free ipad."  Only it's not that simple.

Then you have to fill out 3 "Gold Offers".  No problem.  You're still way ahead of the game.  And the gold level certainly has to be the last one.  Right?  WRONG!

Next you have to sign up for 5 "Platinum Offers".  The 5 more "Titanium Offers".  Who knows where it ends.  I've tried to get to the end several times, but it never stops.  They figure they will wear you out long before you ever qualify for a free ipad2.

And basically they are right.  I've never klnown anyone who actually gets to the end.

So is there a way to get a free iPad from any one online?  Sort of.  I know that doesn't seem like a very definitive answer.  Because the truth is, nobody is really giving anything away.  They are hoping for your business in return in some way or another.  That's not a bad thing.  Offering premiums to get new customers in the door, or to keep your old customers happy is an age old technique for generating new business.  It is also really effective at keeping your old business loyal.  So what you really need to look for is someone who is giving away the premium in return for a subscription to a news letter or some other information product.  There are those that even offer these types of contests for subscribers who stay loyal month after month.  It is a highly successful business model.  And there are actually a couple of them out there.

But to get a $700 piece of prized technology, for a few dollars, it's worth the search.  The bottom line is, you do have to poke around a little bit,  and you have to read the fine print.  All of it.  But the treasure is worth the search.
