There used to be some things that were reserved for larger businesses. The bigger the business, the bigger the budget, and the bigger ability to invest in things like HR software. Smaller businesses simply could not afford to invest in such systems, so they were forced to keep track of payroll and other human resource functions manually. In many cases, information and files would end up scattered between paper files and basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Today, things have changed considerably in the human resources field. Smaller businesses are now taking advantage of software for HR management because they are becoming more accessible. Due to the development of cloud computing and other advanced technology, HR software is now affordable for all businesses, regardless of size.
